Family vacations have a way of bringing everyone together, but it is not often that the family is in the same place at the same time. Jennifer Sui and siblings used their time in South Padre Island as an opportunity to create new memories and preserve them with an extended family beach photo session.
With two combines families together, this session was about more than taking one large group portrait. It was about documenting the relationships, personalities, and joyful moments that make their family unique.
We photographed the full family first and then created smaller groupings. This gave each household its own family portraits while also making time for parents with their children and candid interactions between family members.
The younger children brought plenty of personality to the session. From a little boy riding on his dad’s shoulders to siblings laughing together in the sand, the playful moments helped everyone relax and enjoy the experience. These are the photographs that often become family favorites because they show real connection instead of only posed smiles.
Capturing Every Part of the Family

Ending the Session at the Shoreline
After finishing at the dunes, we moved toward the Gulf for a fun ending by the water. The entire family held hands and ran into the waves together, creating a photograph filled with movement, energy, and the spirit of their South Padre Island vacation.
